This year’s tour features a record 10 private heritage homes* historic Irving House, three Places of Interest, the Art Hub at Van Dop Gallery, and the Tour Hub at 218 Queens Avenue — offering a rare opportunity to step inside beautifully preserved and thoughtfully restored spaces spanning generations of design, architecture, and craftsmanship.

OPEN: Interactive Homes Tour Map

Explore this interactive Google map featuring all homes and venues on the 2026 Heritage Homes Tour. Click on each numbered or lettered marker to view the house photo, name, address, year built, and a direct link to the full story about each location open to ticket holders for interior tours on May 31.

Discover the stories behind the doors—from homes designed by notable architect R.A. Berwick, to modest 1930s houses built with affordability in mind, to a mid-century modern home direct from plans published in Popular Mechanics. One residence was once home to the head of the famed Hollywood Hospital, a pioneering centre for addiction treatment, while another holds a remarkable story of hidden gold bars retrieved years later.

This is a self-guided tour, allowing you to visit homes in any order between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Knowledgeable volunteers and a detailed guidebook will provide historical insights at every stop.

Whether you’re a heritage enthusiast, a homeowner, or simply curious, the New Westminster Heritage Homes Tour offers a unique opportunity to experience New Westminster’s history—one home at a time.

* Unfortunately, the Mansell Overand House will not be on the tour this year due to an unexpected infrastructure issue that requires significant repairs. While disappointing for both the homeowners and tour organizers, it serves as a reminder that even well-loved homes sometimes face unforeseen challenges. The home still appears in the ticket guidebook because the issue arose after printing.
